First Things First

So, when they were together, they said to him, Lord, will you at this time give back the kingdom to Israel?  And he said to them, It is not for you to have knowledge of the time and the order of events which the Father has kept in his control.  But you will have power, when the Holy Spirit has come on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.

Acts 1:6-8, BBE (emphasis added)

Not that, but this.

We don’t need to speculate if and when the Lord will restore the kingdom to Israel¹ or take us all away in the Rapture.  In fact, Jesus says, “It is not for you to know …”²

What is important is to have power and be His witnesses.  We already have power³—we just need to believe it.  But that’s the hard part, isn’t it?

(Inspired by item 291 in Reckless Devotion).

¹Even less important is whether Donald Trump can make America great again.

²I think that’s the polite version of “None of your business!”

³He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.

Wes: Great to hear from you. Sounds like you are gaining a lot of insight about the country you re in. I know you are anxious to go to Romania.. All the literatrue your mother shared with me about Romania sounds like a great place to serve the Lord. You will do great there.
Glad to know you got over your sick spell. I hope the weather is not as hot there as it is here. We had a lot of rain, but now we are in a hot dry spell. Hope it cools down.
Your dad is doing a lot better and seems like he is mentally stronger. I know that is an answer to prayer.
Wes, God bless and protect you on your journey. I pray for you and your safety.
    Keep in touch.
    Jesus is the answer.
